A Journey to Wholeness

Man follows Earth
Earth follows Heaven
Heaven follows Tao
Tao follows what is

Finding oneself at the crossroads of life is a common matter for all. Here, we contemplate deeply on our choices and decisions. For others, being at the crossroads is equal to being in crisis; perhaps because for others, this is where belief systems, resilience, security and Spirit are challenged more than expected. When in doubt, confused and in despair, it is common that somehow, someone would come along to tell us that the Creator has a grand plan for all of us. And with that, we may find ourselves re-defining our meaning of success or purpose.
Whether it’s about relationships, good health, or financial gain we seek, most likely finding resolve at a time that we’ve become deeply concerned about it do we find things within us, which we either embrace or abandon. We may rediscover golden treasures we’ve hidden for a long while or uncover toxins that circulate perpetually within ourselves. Hence, what comes across as a problematic situation transcends onto a remarkable opportunity for healing – realizing therefrom the need to heal in order for one to evolve and be in control of one’s destiny. Change could only be the apparent answer we tell ourselves. However, to change is not easy, most especially when we are used to being forced by external circumstances to do so, or when we feel unsupported in our transformation. To heal is not easy when we don’t have enough people to trust, or if we feel deserted in our pain.
Why is it important to consider holistic healing at these times?
Holistic healing or integrated healing is worthy to explore because most importantly, society-at large, has to already realize that the technology for this is available. It is a technology that is non-intrusive and discriminates no-one since its foundation is aligned to what is universal and natural to our being. Various tools are already available, aiming to reach and assist those who are inclined to discover its advantage. Alternative medicine, reiki, yoga, meditation, mind science, ceremonies, dance, sound, sacred geometry – fall under this category which is comprised of a wide spectrum of forms that are integral to each other. These forms introduce us to a paradigm wherein we realize our spirituality and its full meaning when applied in our modern ways.
Holistic healing is also important for oneself because it awakens the recipient’s potential or desire to heal others too. It is probably because the very principle of healing comes from the power of compassion, kindness, grace – love. We seek to be counseled not only to be enlightened but also to be cared for. We approach healers because we feel that love can cure our wounded Spirit for it is not only the physical body that is injured. For the healer and the healed, a triumvirate forms – the third element being the soul of connectedness. It is from such connection where awareness and awakening may spring joyfully and gloriously – to realize something we know, of which we are all about, but have just forgotten. Henceforth, we awaken to the realization of unconditional self-love by transcending the dualities in us. It may be a challenging process but it is possible given the support available.
Holistic healing is necessary because it can transform our world into a humanist society – one that we can define as open and compassionate rather than just defining our civilization as developed or progressive in thought and discipline.
It is upon the foothills where it is probable that each of our roads have crossed. It may have appeared to you as the crossroads; for some, a convergence. In both, there is great opportunity for healing. It is a path where the healed becomes a healer and discovers the community that supports transformation. The road leads the healer up the hill and to its summit. It’s then that the journey to wholeness becomes a genuine path towards that is infinite – a path that is no longer about finding answers but about becoming the divine presence we long to experience in our lives.
